Avarion, a two-time Best in KLAS healthcare IT advisory firm, is joining forces with Med Tech Solutions in a deal that pairs strategic consulting with managed IT services.
MTS, a portfolio company of private equity firm Silversmith, announced the acquisition May 6 from its headquarters in Valencia, California.
Avarion, founded in 2007 and formerly known as Huntzinger Management Group, works with hospitals and health systems on strategic guidance, implementation support, and optimization across EHRs, revenue cycle, analytics, and digital transformation.
The firm brings deep advisory expertise to MTS' existing platform of end-to-end managed services, including EHR system management, cybersecurity, HITRUST-certified cloud hosting, revenue cycle management, and data archiving.
The combined entity supports healthcare organizations across the full care continuum, from ambulatory and community-based settings to complex acute care environments.
As part of the transaction, Avarion CEO and founding partner Robert Kitts will report to MTS CEO Mona Abutaleb and lead the company's strategic advisory and staffing services practice.
MTS, established in 2006, serves thousands of healthcare organizations nationwide.
